Jesus Training College, Mala, organized a heartfelt farewell ceremony titled "The Curtain Call" on 29th August 2025 to honour the dedicated service and invaluable contributions of Ms. Lisa John. The programme was a touching tribute that celebrated her years of commitment, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the institution.

The ceremony commenced with a warm Welcome Address delivered by Rev. Fr. Vinish Vattoly, Executive Director of Jesus Training College, Mala. In his address, he welcomed the gathering and reflected on Ms. Lisa John's remarkable journey within the institution, appreciating her sincerity, professionalism, and lasting impact on the college community.

The event was presided over by Rev. Fr. Wilson Earathara, Manager of Jesus Training College, Mala. In his presidential address, he highlighted the values of commitment, integrity, and service that Ms. Lisa John exemplified throughout her tenure. He acknowledged her significant role in strengthening the institution and wished her continued success in all future endeavours.

One of the most emotional moments of the programme was the Acknowledgement of Service, delivered by Dr. Jasna P. Variyan, Principal of Jesus Training College, Mala. She fondly recalled Ms. Lisa John's invaluable contributions to the academic and administrative life of the college and expressed heartfelt gratitude for her years of dedicated service.

The programme continued with "Legacy of Love," a special segment that reflected upon the memories, values, and inspiration Ms. Lisa John leaves behind. It was a moving reminder that while individuals may move on, the positive influence they create continues to shape lives for years to come.

The Felicitation Session featured heartfelt speeches from:

  • Mr. Suresh Kumar (Teacher Representative)

  • Ms. Arya M. G. (Second Year Representative)

  • Ms. Ripsy Rojes (First Year Representative)

Each speaker shared cherished memories, words of gratitude, and sincere appreciation for Ms. Lisa John's kindness, mentorship, and encouragement. Their speeches beautifully reflected the affection and respect she earned from both colleagues and students.

As a token of appreciation, the college presented a Token of Love to Ms. Lisa John as a symbol of gratitude and recognition for her dedicated service. The gesture represented the deep bond she shared with the institution and the countless lives she positively influenced.

The ceremony also included a heartfelt Note of Remembrance, where special moments and memorable experiences were shared, creating an atmosphere filled with nostalgia and gratitude.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Sr. Jincy, Student Representative, who expressed sincere gratitude to the management, faculty members, students, organizers, and guests for making the farewell ceremony a memorable and meaningful occasion.

"The Curtain Call" was more than a farewell—it was a celebration of a remarkable journey, a tribute to unwavering dedication, and a reminder that true educators leave footprints not only in institutions but also in the hearts of the people they inspire.
