The Valentine’s Day celebrations 2025 at Jesus Training College Mala, organized in association with Anmahera Union 2025, concluded on a joyful and memorable note with two vibrant events — the Pick-Up Line Competition and the Duet Song Competition. The pick-up line contest witnessed enthusiastic participation, with students submitting creative, witty, and heartwarming lines that filled the campus with laughter and cheer. 

Adding melody to the celebration, the Duet Song Competition featured four talented groups who captivated the audience with their harmonious performances and stage presence. The events were judged by Sneha Menon P., Assistant Professor of Maths Education, Jesus Training College Mala, and Elsa Maria Davis, Assistant Professor of General Education, Jesus Training College Mala, whose thoughtful evaluation ensured a fair and encouraging atmosphere. At the end of the program, first, second, and third prizes were distributed to the deserving winners, making the celebration a beautiful blend of creativity, music, and togetherness.

Women's Club Quiz Competition: Celebrating Knowledge, Awareness, and Women's Empowerment



The Women's Club of Jesus Training College, Mala organized a Women's Club Quiz Competition on 6th February 2026 at the Assembly Hall with the objective of promoting awareness, intellectual engagement, and women's empowerment among student teachers. The programme provided a vibrant platform for participants to enhance their knowledge while celebrating the achievements, rights, and contributions of women in various fields.

The quiz competition covered a wide range of topics, including women's history, health, education, science and technology, literature, sports, social reforms, constitutional rights, current affairs, and notable women leaders from India and around the world. The event encouraged students to remain informed about issues related to gender equality and the role of women in nation-building.

Students enthusiastically participated in the competition, demonstrating remarkable teamwork, critical thinking, and quick decision-making skills. The lively rounds of the quiz created an atmosphere of healthy competition while inspiring participants to broaden their knowledge beyond the classroom. Faculty members and fellow students actively supported and encouraged the participants, making the programme both engaging and educational.

The competition served not only as an intellectual exercise but also as an opportunity to strengthen awareness of women's rights, leadership, and empowerment. It reinforced the importance of education in building confident, informed, and socially responsible individuals who can contribute meaningfully to society.

The programme concluded with the announcement of the winners and words of appreciation for all participants. Jesus Training College, Mala successfully organized EDUCAREER 2026 – Placement & Career Connect for Aspiring Teachers on 6 February 2026 at the College Auditorium from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. The programme was conducted by the Placement Cell of Jesus Training College (JTC) in collaboration with School Connect – Job Portal for Teachers, aiming to guide and equip future educators with meaningful career opportunities. The session began with a warm welcome address by Annmariya K P, followed by an insightful expert session by Mr. Ragesh C., Career Adviser from School Connect, who shared valuable guidance on career pathways, job portal registration, and professional readiness. The event also featured student registration on the job portal and a mock interview session, providing practical exposure and confidence-building experience for aspiring teachers. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Shary C.S., marking the event as a productive and empowering initiative that strengthened the career prospects of the students.

Jesus Training College, Mala, officially inaugurated Arts Day 2025–26 on 04 February 2026 at 10:00 a.m., marking the beginning of an exciting season of artistic expression, creativity, and cultural celebration. The inauguration brought together students, faculty members, and distinguished guests to celebrate the vibrant spirit of fine arts and the importance of creativity in education.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Rages John, Principal, who emphasized the role of arts in fostering innovation, self-expression, and holistic development among future educators. This was followed by the presidential address delivered by Rev. Fr. Vinish V. Vattoly, Executive Director, who highlighted the significance of cultural activities in nurturing confidence, teamwork, and the overall personality of students.

The Arts Day was formally inaugurated by Mr. Sarath Krishnan and Geethamma, whose inspiring words encouraged students to embrace art as a powerful medium of expression, cultural preservation, and social transformation. Ms. Sheena Bhaskar, Vice Principal and Arts Coordinator, felicitated the gathering and appreciated the enthusiasm, dedication, and creative talents of the student community in making the event a grand celebration.

The inaugural ceremony was followed by a series of vibrant cultural performances featuring music, dance, and artistic presentations that reflected the diverse talents and creativity of the students. The lively performances created an atmosphere of joy, enthusiasm, and collaboration, setting the perfect stage for the Fine Arts competitions scheduled as part of Arts Day 2025–26.

The programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Adith V., Fine Arts Secretary, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, students, and organizing committee for their invaluable support and contribution to the success of the event. The inauguration of Arts Day 2025–26 reaffirmed Jesus Training College's commitment to promoting creativity, cultural appreciation, and the all-round development of future educators while inspiring students to showcase their talents with confidence and passion.

A Workshop on Resume Building for Enhanced Employability was organized by the Placement Cell on 04 February 2026 from 2.00 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. at the College Auditorium, Jesus Training College, Mala. The session was conducted by Dr. Rages John with the objective of developing students’ skills in preparing effective and professional resumes for better career opportunities.

The workshop focused on the essential components of a well-structured resume, including personal profile, educational qualifications, teaching skills, achievements, certifications, internships, and professional experiences. The resource person guided students on how to highlight their strengths, present their competencies effectively, and customize resumes according to career requirements. Practical tips on resume formatting, content selection, and avoiding common mistakes were also discussed.

The session helped student teachers understand the importance of a professional resume as a key tool for employability and career advancement. The programme concluded with an interactive discussion, where students clarified their doubts and gained valuable insights into creating impactful resumes for future job
