Keraliyam – Celebrating the Spirit of Kerala

As part of its commitment to preserving cultural heritage, Jesus Training College, Mala, organized "Keraliyam" on 31 October 2025 in the Assembly Hall. The programme was conducted to celebrate the rich traditions, history, and cultural identity of Kerala.

The celebration highlighted the unique beauty of God's Own Country through a variety of activities that reflected the state's art, literature, customs, and heritage. United Nations Day Celebration 2025: Celebrating 80 Years of Global Unity



On 24th October 2025, the Social Science Club "AGORA" of Jesus Training College, Mala organized a meaningful celebration of United Nations Day, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the United Nations under the theme "80 Years of Global Unity." The programme was held at 9:20 a.m. in the Assembly Hall, bringing together students and faculty to reflect on the ideals of peace, cooperation, human rights, and sustainable development.

The event aimed to create awareness among future educators about the significance of the United Nations in promoting international peace, fostering global partnerships, and addressing pressing global challenges. The celebration emphasized the importance of unity, mutual respect, and collective responsibility in building a peaceful and sustainable world.

The keynote address was delivered by Ms. Ann Mariya Paul P., a First Year Social Science student, who served as the resource person for the programme. Her presentation highlighted the historical journey of the United Nations over the past eight decades, its achievements in maintaining global peace, humanitarian efforts, promotion of education and health, and its role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She also encouraged the audience to recognize their role as responsible global citizens capable of contributing to positive social change.

Students actively participated in the session, making it an engaging and thought-provoking learning experience. The programme inspired the audience to appreciate the value of international cooperation and reinforced the need to uphold the principles of equality, justice, and human dignity in today's interconnected world.

The United Nations Day celebration concluded on a note of optimism and commitment, reminding everyone that global peace and sustainable development can only be achieved through collective action and shared responsibility. College Union & Fine Arts Club Inauguration – A Celebration of Talent and Togetherness

Jesus Training College, Mala, officially inaugurated the College Union and Fine Arts Club for the academic year 2025–2026 on 24 October 2025 at 1:30 PM in the Assembly Hall. The event marked the beginning of a vibrant year of student leadership, creativity, and cultural excellence.

The inauguration was graced by Mr. Sundar Das, renowned film director and motivational speaker, as the chief guest. His inspiring words encouraged students to pursue their dreams with confidence, creativity, and determination. He emphasized the importance of balancing academic excellence with participation in arts, culture, and extracurricular activities, reminding students that true education nurtures both intellect and character.

The inaugural ceremony marked the beginning of a year dedicated to student leadership, cultural excellence, and holistic development. The programme was presided over by the Principal, Dr. Jesst P. Varghese, while the welcome address was delivered by the Union Chairperson, Alan James.

As part of its academic and value-based initiatives, the AGORA Social Science Club, in association with the IQAC, organized an Online Quiz Competition on 3 October 2025 with the theme "Life of Mahatma Gandhi."

The competition aimed to deepen students' understanding of Mahatma Gandhi's life, philosophy, principles of non-violence, truth, and his invaluable contribution to India's freedom movement. Conducted through an online platform, the quiz witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across different optional subjects.

The event encouraged learners to revisit the ideals of Gandhian philosophy and reflect upon their relevance in contemporary society. Winners were recognized with certificates, motivating students to engage in academic enrichment activities while fostering patriotism, ethical values, and historical awareness.
