Har Ghar Tiranga 2025: Celebrating the Spirit of Freedom and Patriotism

As part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, Jesus Training College, Mala celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great patriotism and enthusiasm on 15 August 2025. The programme, organized under the theme "Har Ghar Tiranga – Tiranga in Every Home," brought together students, faculty members, and staff in a vibrant celebration of India's freedom, unity, and democratic values.

The celebrations commenced at 8.45 a.m. with a prayer led by Ms. Aparna Raj, followed by a warm welcome address by Ms. Gayathri Sagaran, setting a patriotic tone for the occasion. The highlight of the programme was the National Flag Hoisting Ceremony, performed by Dr. Jasna P. Varijan, Principal, Jesus Training College, Mala, as the gathering proudly saluted the National Flag and reaffirmed their commitment to the ideals of the nation.

The programme continued with the rendition of the National Anthem by Ms. Krishnaveni C. R., Ms. Gayathri Krishna U., and Ms. Aleena Rose Shaju, creating an atmosphere of unity and national pride. This was followed by the National Pledge, led by Ms. Nycymol, encouraging everyone to uphold the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

An inspiring Independence Day Message was delivered by Mr. Suresh Kumar, Assistant Professor, who reflected on the sacrifices of India's freedom fighters and emphasized the responsibility of today's youth, especially future teachers, to preserve the nation's democratic ideals and contribute towards its progress through education, integrity, and service. Ms. Saniya Davis offered felicitations, appreciating the significance of celebrating national events that instill patriotism and civic responsibility among students.

Adding a cultural dimension to the celebration, the Harmony Singers of Jesus Training College presented a soulful Patriotic Song, filling the campus with the spirit of nationalism. The formal programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Anjima Jose, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the successful conduct of the celebration.

To further encourage creativity and patriotic expression among students, the college organized Independence Day Competitions, including a Speech Competition and a Thematic Dance Competition. Students enthusiastically participated in these events, showcasing their talents while expressing their love for the nation through powerful speeches and captivating performances based on themes of freedom, unity, and national integration.

The Har Ghar Tiranga 2025 celebration served as a meaningful reminder of India's glorious freedom struggle and the responsibilities that accompany independence. The programme successfully instilled a deep sense of patriotism, respect for national symbols, and commitment to the values enshrined in the Constitution. Through such initiatives, Jesus Training College, Mala continues to nurture socially responsible, value-oriented, and nationally conscious future educators who are committed to building a stronger and more inclusive India.
