World AIDS Day 2025: Promoting Awareness, Compassion and Responsibility

Date: 1 December 2025
Venue: Jesus Training College, Mala

On the occasion of World AIDS Day, observed on 1 December 2025, Jesus Training College, Mala organized an awareness programme to educate students about HIV/AIDS, promote compassion towards people living with HIV, and encourage responsible health practices. The observance was conducted under the global theme "Overcoming Disruption, Transforming the AIDS Response."

The programme focused on creating awareness about HIV transmission, prevention, early diagnosis, and the importance of eliminating stigma and discrimination associated with the disease. Participants were encouraged to understand the significance of community support, empathy, and inclusive healthcare in improving the quality of life of people affected by HIV/AIDS.

Faculty members highlighted the importance of accurate information, responsible behaviour, and collective efforts in preventing the spread of HIV. The programme also emphasized that awareness and education remain the most effective tools in combating misconceptions and promoting public health.

The observance served as a meaningful reminder that every individual has a role to play in creating a society that is informed, compassionate, and free from discrimination. Through such awareness initiatives, Jesus Training College, Mala continues to foster social responsibility, health consciousness, and humanitarian values among its future educators, encouraging them to become advocates for awareness, acceptance, and positive social change.
