Workshop on Paper Bag Making
The SUPW (Socially Useful Productive Work) Club of Jesus Training College, Mala organized a Workshop on Paper Bag Making on 15th December 2025 at 1:30 p.m. in the Assembly Hall. The workshop was conducted to create awareness about sustainable alternatives to plastic bags while developing practical and entrepreneurial skills among student teachers.
The resource person, Ms. Reshma, II Year English student, demonstrated the preparation of reusable paper bags using eco-friendly materials. She explained various methods of cutting, folding, assembling, and decorating paper bags, enabling participants to create attractive and durable products suitable for everyday use.
Students actively participated in the practical session, gaining hands-on experience while understanding the environmental importance of reducing plastic consumption. The workshop also highlighted the potential of paper bag making as a small-scale entrepreneurial venture that supports sustainable living.
The programme concluded with participants showcasing their handmade paper bags and reaffirming their commitment to environmental conservation. The workshop successfully blended creativity, skill development, and environmental awareness, reinforcing the institution's commitment to promoting sustainable practices among future educators.
