World Soil Day

On December 5, 2023, Jesus Training College, Mala, celebrated World Soil Day with activities focused on promoting sustainable soil management and raising awareness about the critical role soil plays in supporting life on Earth. The event included expert talks on soil conservation, the importance of soil health in agriculture, and the global challenges related to soil degradation. Students participated in a hands-on workshop where they learned about soil testing and techniques to maintain soil fertility. A tree-planting drive was also organised to underline the connection between healthy soil and environmental sustainability. The celebration inspired the college community to adopt eco-friendly practices and contribute to soil preservation efforts.
