CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

The Christmas celebration of 2019 was organised on 18/12/2019. The celebration organised option wise carol competition for students. Christmas is the season of joy, holiday greetings exchanged, gift-giving, and families getting united. On that day, a special mass was conducted in the college chapel. The celebrations included a rhythmic performance from the college choir and an add-on surprise package by Santa Claus. The staff and students were completely spellbound with the Christmas gratification and the day was called off with a hearty Lunch. Throughout the celebration the students performed dances, songs and other art performances.

The trip was conducted as a part of the curriculum. Educational tours are part of education and JTC encourages its students to actively participate in educational tours to improve skills in collaboration and togetherness. These tours are organised by the college and students will be accompanied by faculty members. Tours are limited to one week in a year which will be preferably conducted during the fourth semester.

KERALA PIRAVI 2019

Kerala Piravi was celebrated on 1st November, 2019 with marked pomp, colour and festivity. The event was successful in highlighting the rich cultural heritage and its uniqueness. Competitions in Nadanpattu were held. Students took part in these with vigour and interest. Various entertainment programs were also held as a part of the celebration.

The Principal of the college is the head of the institution and the saint she has chosen to emulate in her life is celebrated as the feast day of the Principal. A feast day is a day set aside to commemorate the life of a saint in catholic tradition. In light of this, the students of the college celebrated the day with pomp and splendour. The feast day celebration of the Principal was organised on 30/09/2019. It involved cake cutting and wishing feastal greetings. Students hand overed gifts for him.

TEACHERS’ DAY – ‘EKALAVYA 2K19’

 ‘EKALAVYA 2K19’

Teacher's Day is celebrated on 5th September and this tradition started from 1962. This is when Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born. He was a philosopher, scholar, teacher, and politician and his dedicated work towards education made his birthday an important day in the history of India. We remember the great work of this exemplary person on this day. Teacher's day was celebrated on 05/09/2019. The programme involved honouring of teachers and cultural activities. Students hand overed gifts for the teachers as a token of love and respect.

June 7, 2019 the institution celebrated World Environment Day. It involved various

programmes like Planting trees in the campus along with some cultural activities and

presentation of the theme ‘Beat the Pollution’

COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP ‘JEEVANAM’

 The four days community living camp of 2019-20 was carried out from 20/05/2019 to 23/05/2019. The camp was enriched with cultural and community activities along with some academic and practical sessions by resource persons from different areas. Self defence training by Police officers was a highlight. A class on Security measures in daily life by the Fire and Rescue team of Mala was really beneficial for the students. The camp helped the students to develop social responsibility. Imbibing social, moral and cultural values. Learning to plan and execute community service. learning to live together, sharing duties and responsibilities.
